"RFQ" is an abbreviation for "Request For Quote", a standard term in the green industry. By adding plants to your RFQ cart and entering specific quantities for each, you can then send your RFQ to each of the suppliers whose plants are contained in your RFQ cart. You are not actually buying plants thorugh this web site, but rather finding plants and then connecting with the suppliers directly to do business. This is a great way to get price quotes on many plants from many suppliers, as well as compare prices among multiple suppliers. Since each supplier will receive a customized RFQ containing only their own specific plants, each supplier will provide you with their own, separate quote. In other words, if you'd like to compare prices and/or sizes for a specific plant species, you should add the same species from multiple suppliers to your RFQ prior to sending it out. Also, you will receive an RFQ email "master copy" for reference, containing ALL of the plants and suppliers listed in your cart. |
